KC Concepts and North and East Bristol Enterprise Support (NEBES) have announced the launch of Bristol’s first black-owned business pop-up shop, providing a platform for up to 40 black-owned businesses across the South West of England and nationwide.
The KC Concepts Pop-Up Shop will be located here at The Galleries from 2 October to 14 November, during Black History Month UK. The shop will be celebrating UK black-owned businesses and empowering more people to begin their own business journey with the support of NEBES.
KC Concepts has been set up by Latoya Adlam, a Bristolian entrepreneur and owner of Kitchen Cosmetics, a business with a mission to create purposeful and ethical beauty products. Following months of support to help grow Kitchen Cosmetics, Layota and NEBES are collaborating to turn the pop-up shop vision into a reality.
In recent years, there has been a surge in consumers making more socially conscious decisions about where to shop, often seeking smaller, independent, local, female-founded and minority-owned businesses. From fashion, beauty and lifestyle, the KC Concepts Pop-Up Shop will be a hub for these businesses to be promoted, celebrated and discovered in the heart of Bristol.
